Unit 4: Alternative strategies for managing PRRS and PMWS

Viral diseases can be challenging diseases to control. There are only a limited number of effective treatments and these tend to be expensive. So the best option wherever possible is to prevent the diseases occurring in the first place.

As you might already know, there is not a single method to control and eliminate PMWS or PRRS from a farm. This unit will explore strategies that have been suggested and applied in different countries, evaluating the pros and cons of each of method.
