The practice Code EFABAR (Code of Good Practice for Farm Animal Breeding and Reproduction) is aimed to become a standard for defining and maintaining good practices for animal breeding and to create transparency regarding breeding techniques fort he public.
It sets general guidelines for quality, health and safety-related aspects, like clean transportation of genetic material, as well as for environmental and welfare aspects, like genetic diversity, and use of reproduction techniques, like cloning.
