Rural development
Examples of regulation for rural development are the so-called PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) and PDO (Protected Designation of Origin). There is also a regulation for protecting regional recipes, TSG (Traditional Speciality Guaranteed). More information can be found on the EU site. Additional private rules may have been added locally for each specific regional supply chain operating under PDO, PGI, or TSG regulation.
